Engaging with Society

Our engagement with society at various levels comprises a major part of our day-to-day activities in many different areas of Kinross, including government relations and corporate affairs, permitting, investor relations, community relations, exploration, human resources, and environment, health and safety. We have a well-established track record of cooperative involvement at a local and international level across a broad range of priority areas. Internationally, we engage with industry peers, NGOs and members of civil society where it makes good business sense for Kinross and aligns with our priorities, such as the promotion of responsible practices in the gold mining industry. We also collaborate extensively with community groups and with local, regional and national governments to address issues of mutual interest.
